Coming Soon...

Thought I would show you all the reason why I have not been blogging as much as usual.  I have been spending my time creating a couple of new parties PLUS adding a new theme to GlitterPosh Parties!

I am excited to announce a CARS theme has been added to GlitterPosh.  I have a few "sneak peak" photo's for you all, but you will have to wait until after the first party that is scheduled for next weekend!  Be sure to come back and see the full details!

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish...

I just love Dr. Suess, what a creative mind! My house is piled with books from the amazing Suess.  I have yet to ever give my kids a Dr. Suess party, however, after viewing some of these ideas, I am thinking about adding it my list!  Take a look and see what I am talking about.

This first site you have to stop by is Eventful possibilities.  She is in love with everything Dr. Suess and her blog shows it.  She has ideas from just about every Dr. Suess book. Check it out here.

This party is from Kara's party Ideas:

The next party was featured on Hostess with the Mostess, some very cute ideas...

This last party comes from Pizzazzerie.  It was for a baby shower, but you can really use these ideas for any party.  They are just too cute to pass up!

Hope you were inspired by these posts as much as I was.

Bridal Shower Ideas

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, and at times the bridal shower doesn't get as much attention as it deserves.  If your a perfectionist like me and a total control freak (like me), try to let this one go.  Have some help for the bridal shower.  Traditionally it's the bridesmaids that give the bride a shower, however these days, anything goes!  A good compromise is to have the bride's parents pay for everyone they want to invite while the groom's parents pay for everyone they want to invite and have the bridesmaids help where they can.  If your budget allows, consider a wedding planner for the wedding and see if she/he will also do the bridal party.

Here are some beautiful ideas for any bridal shower to help get you started!

This picture comes from Martha Stewart.com and what I love about it is the simple elegance.  You can take a plain white bowl, or tea cup and turn it into a vase.  It helps keep the budget low with giving your event unique details that everyone is sure to admire!

Also, from Martha Stewart, I like these small favor boxes wrapped in white wrapping paper, place a simple ribbon (the color scheme of the wedding) and then monogram with the brides new last name or if the bride is to keep her last name, monogram with that as well or even the date of the wedding or bridal shower itself.

Here are some more cute and amazing ideas from Martha Stewart.com.  Click on the picture to be taken to the webpage and see how to make these yourself.

These next photo's come from Hostess with the Mostess...click on each photo to view it's details.

what I want to show you here is how they used simple glass blocks to add an element of elegance to an otherwise simple table.  You might also consider looking at craft stores such as hobby lobby or Michael's for glass blocks that have the hole in them to insert lights and create a glowing effect.

look at the glass's in next to the main centerpiece, how they used simple martini glasses and inserted roses or you can use carnations for a more affordable price.

I love using chandeliers whenever possible, I think it brings such a dramatic feel to the overall event. What I like about this one is how they used flowers on this candle chandelier instead of candles.

This donut cake not only looks tasty but beautiful the way the flowers were placed on it.  What a great low-budget idea!

Hope some of these helped and as always if you would like any event suggestions or ideas, please don't hesitate to ask.

Harry Potter Inspired Birthday

I'll be the first to say it, I know NOTHING about Harry Potter.  I have not read a single book, seen any of the movies, I could not even tell you what's it's about other than I think he is a wizard of some sort.

Although I know nothing, what I do know is that my friends 7 year old boy LOVES Harry Potter.  So in honor of him turning 7, I thought I would share some HP inspired birthday party's that I have seen.  For all of your HP fans, I hope you enjoy!

Pintrest Love Affair

Oh how I love me some Pintrest!  There are so many amazing idea's out there and I just love that everyone shares them!  In my little corner of the world, I could sit with a cup of joe, a blanket and pin all day long.  Then my three kids come in screaming and I am shuttling them off to school or nap time, feeding time....and I realize that my corner of the world for the entire 5 mins I was there, was bliss.

So in honor to everyone out there who can relate in one form or another, I am dedicating this post to Pintrest and some of my favorite pins for party planning ideas!

This first one comes from an etsy site and it's darling!  I think the picture says it all.
