It's time to get Tangled!

For almost all the little girls out there, Tangled seems to be "the" movie theme they want for their birthday party!  So without further ado, here we go:

1.  From Tiny Oranges, here are some great ideas:

If you check out the Tiny Oranges blog she has a link that you can just click on to download this flyer, how easy is that?!?!

I love this cake in a frying pan.  For anyone who has seen this movie, you get it!  Also, how she piped the cake in yellow to look like her hair!

2. I thought this idea was really cute from the paging supermom blog:

Rapunzel Braid Front Door Party Decor

Using yarn to create Rapunzel's hair on the door when guests arrive and then continuing it on the inside of the door!

3.  I like this clever idea to use the flynn flyer as the party invite. Check out the Plucky momo blog and she actually has the link that you can download your own free!

She used these paper lantern's from the dollar store.  You might want to get a punch of them or buy them in bulk to get a better price and hang them EVERYWHERE for a huge impact!

This is actually an idea from disneyfamily.com, and so cute!

4.  Some really cute idea's are coming up here on The Disney Party Blog, click here to view the entire post.

The invite with Rapunzel's hair...nicely done!

5.  I am in love with this next party favor, very cute and very simple. What little girl would not love this? It comes from the Doityourself blog and you have to check it out because she actually walks you through the steps on how to make everything!

I like this cake, so simple to do yourself.  She simply put a tangled toy on top of the cake.  This is what I do with my girls birthday cakes.  If it's a movie or character theme party I will use one of their toys to place on top of the cake. All I have to do is make a boxed cake, wash up the toy, do the different colored pipe along the cake and write their name. So simple and so cheap! LOVE IT!

I hope you found some good ideas and remember, if there is a party you would like idea's on, just let me know!

Brought to you by the letter A and the Number 1

Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street?  This is such a cute party that can really be used for any age who loves Sesame Street.  One of my best friends recently had a Sesame Street theme party for her 2 year old and I wanted to share the invites with you, they were really cute:

She took the first letter of the guest's last name and tied a tag to the invite to personalized each invitation.  You should check out her blog, Home Sweet Living, to get the full details on the party. Click here for all the info.

This fun favor bag idea comes from Buggy's Basement. Cute idea that would not be hard to create.

Below is a Sunny and Bright Elmo party done by Michelle from I DO invitations by Michelle designed for her daughter’s 2nd birthday!  These pictures are from HWTM, where Michelle was featured.

For anyone who has watched Elmo's world knows that Elmo loves his Goldfish, "Dorothy".  Place small simple, goldfish bowls as your centerpiece, with real goldfish of course! You can even let the kids feed Dorothy!

What little kid (or adult for that matter) won't love their very own Sesame Street sign? How cool is this? Want to know the real kicker? You can get your own made here!

If you choose to do a candy buffet, you might want to check this one out over at Hostess with the Mostess:

And how stink'n cute is this sign, Kate really did an amazing job with this party!

I love all the labels as the sesame street, street sign....oh so cute! And these Elmo chocolates....yes, please!

Yes, this is what I was talking about....use a real gold fish as a favor for the kids, add the crayons, the parents will just love you for it!

These hats that Kate made are adorable, I want one!  Yet another DIY success!

This next party is brought to you by the ladies over at 11cupcakes, a great blog and they have their own esty shop to purchase a lot of these items and personalize them for you, start shopping here!

I spent more time on this posting than planned.  My kids are asking if I can finally make them lunch!  Let's face it, it's such a cute party theme and it reminds me of when I was a kid...when things were simple. Hope you enjoyed a trip down memory lane and picked up some great ideas from some creative ladies along the way!

Candyland

Bright vibrant colors, the sugar plum fairy, what a great game candyland is, so why not make it your child's birthday theme!?!?

To help you get those creative brain waves following, here are some great idea's from some very creative ladies:

1.  This first party is from my favorite website, Hostess with the Mostess.  If you click here will be able to find out how to set up your tabletop, party decor and even a sample food menu, it's as simple as a click!

PARTY DECOR

They hung colored paper lanterns and tied them so they look like giant candy hanging from the tree.  You might want to try colored balloons. You get the same effect and it's much cheaper!

These are the favors they put together. I actually did the same favor for my daughter's first carnival birthday party.

2.  This next party comes from Glorious Treats.  She even includes directions on how to make the giant lollipops!  Click here for the full details.

3.  Okay, this party is brought to you buy the Tip Junkie, via Parents.com and it's amazing!

Welcome to the Carnival

Join us under the Big Top! Come one, come all and explore that amazing idea's for a your child's first birthday:

Decorating for a Carnival Party
this picture come's from marthastewart.com

I have thrown 2 carnival birthday parties in the past, both for a first birthday.  It's a fun theme and if you have older kids attending, it also gives them something to do where they won't feel it's too "baby-ish".

Depending on your budget you can really go all out for this theme.  Dunk Tank, carnival rides, booths, (for those in the Oakland/Macomb Mi area, I have a great company you can contact regarding these rentals, just email me or drop a comment in this post) but what I also love about this theme is that it can be done a budget.  Use lots of red, blue and yellow balloons, bright table cloths and paper goods.

When making the entrance for the party, try using helium balloons, tie them to some clear fish line and create an arch for the guests to walk thru.  If you don't want balloons starting from the ground on the arch, try using PVC pipes, wrap them in red/white crepe paper and then tie the fish line to the tops of the pipes and tie on your helium balloons (be sure leave enough slack on the fish line for the balloons to pull the line into an arch shape).

Here are some inspiring parties:

Above is from the one and only Martha Stewart. I love the simple table cloth, balloons and fabric in bright bold colors to make such a large impact.  Check it out here.

What a great game, and so simple to create! Check out all of Martha's idea's here!

For all of you DIY'ers, check out the creative-party-themes website.  There are some creative carnival invitation ideas, just click here.

I really wish I had more photo's from the carnival parties I did, however, it seems when it's for my own kids, I never have time to take pictures.  However, when it's a party that I am hired to do, I have plenty of those pictures.  The above were just a few that I could find. I promise to post more.
