Interested in hosting a kid's Christmas Party?

In the past of I have been asked why I don't have a Halloween or Christmas theme party for GlitterPosh Parties (I have an Easter Egg Hunt Brunch theme already).  My answer is always that I am not sure if there really is a demand for either a Halloween for Christmas party, so I thought I would go directly to the people and ask.  "Would anyone be interested in hosting a kid's Christmas Party for your kid's and their friends, or cousin's, whoever you wish to invite?"

This way I can get an idea if there is a market for it or not.  Please leave a comment and let me know!  To make is fun I will take all those that leave a comment on this blog and place them into a drawing for $25.00 GlitterPosh Parties gift certificate!  Thanks for your help and Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas Charlie Brown

Okay, Okay, I know, we have not even had Thanksgiving yet, and I have not posted a single Thanksgiving party.  However, I am really excited for Christmas this year and I am not sure why.  Don't think I have forgotten about Thanksgiving, it's actually my favorite holiday, but I figure if you were going to have a kids Thanksgiving party, you probably already had it or at least have the invites and your theme done....I know you can do it on your own, I have faith in you!

Well, this post is once again from the fabulous Hostess with the Mostess, and although it's done to a Thanksgiving theme, I thought it would be fun to do this for a kids or adults Christmas party, with a Charlie Brown Christmas Theme....can't you picture it?

Face it, everyone feels bad for that poor little Christmas tree and deep down wants to take it home, well now you can have your own as a wonderful centerpiece! You could even add a blue blanket to wrap around the base of the tree to act as Linus' blanket. Wouldn't it be fun to have a Charlie Brown Christmas party with the classical cartoon soundtrack playing in the background?  Or having a mailbox on your porch and have the kids check to see if their is a christmas card in there for them? Also, have some card with the names of other peanuts character on cards as well and this time why not include Charlie Brown in your party!

The picture below shows just what you can do with this theme, it's from the Oink! a blog of piggy bank party's...click here to see the entire post, lots of good stuff!

I love the printed off comics, wrapped into cones and filled with veggies or popcorn! Very Cute!

Just think like a kid and be creative with this party....and most of all, have fun!

Rudolph Reindeer Holiday Party Ideas
I love everything about this Kids Christmas Vintage Reindeer Party posted on Hostess with the Mostess, you can check out all the details here.

Rudolph Reindeer Holiday Party Ideas

I love going through these post's and finding creative ways to spin things and do it them on a budget.  However, I just think this party screams everything about Christmas as a kid.  I always remember everything red and green, the vintage rudolph just sends me back to a time when the magic of Christmas was endless and I hope that is exactly what I am doing for my own children each year. I am tossing the idea around of having a few of the kids friends over just so I can do this theme....shh...don't tell my husband, he says I already have enough on my plate, but I say, come on, it's Christmas!  Check out this party and tell me it would not be a fun theme to do!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Party

This is one of my all time favorite books! I remember my 1st grade teacher reading it to us and I thought the butterfly on the last page was simply beautiful. Now it's one of my girls favorite books as well.  Naturally you can understand my excitement when I started coming across all these wonderful post's on The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.  The first post is from Multiply Delicious, where she posted her thoughts and comments on a party that was featured on Hostess with the Mostess (one of my favorite all time sites).  Check it out here!

This next party was featured on Mini Mocha and there are some awesome ideas here,

She has some great art's and crafts idea's that I just love, and one of my favorite things is to have the kids make something according to the theme of the party to take home as the party favor rather than a bunch of trash and trinkets that us mothers just cringe at. Plus, the party host does not waste money on party favor's that are just going to be thrown away once the child gets home anyway.
don't you just LOVE the headband?
The pillows were done by using computer iron on transfer paper, and then cut into each shape, stuffed and then sewn together!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this sandwich idea....
TOO CUTE!

This next party is from Shara over at the Bachmanville blog, she has such adorable idea's...she share's everything from the invite she created to art's and craft's ideas.  What I love about this post is that this party can be done on such a low budget with a big bang!

 Check out these bookmarks...great idea!

And how about this cake idea? Loving it..

And how cute is this sign?

This idea is just totally fun, for both the kids and the parents at the party! antennaes with black headbands, black pipe cleaners, and little styrofoam balls spray-painted black
You really need to check out Shara blog here, she has so many great ideas!

Book and Movie Party

popcorn
So I am loving this post that I just read on the multiply delicious blog, it's all about a Book and Movie Party.
Here is the link:
http://www.multiplydelicious.com/thekids/2010/08/books-and-a-movie-party/
It's not for a birthday, it's just a simple party to hold and donate books to kids in the hospital.  You MUST read this, it's pretty cool.  I not only love the idea of donations, but the simple book and movie party theme is great.  A movie night in the summer, outdoors is wonderful and I might just have to do this one year as all 3 three of my kids have birthday's during the nice weather seasons.  However, I often hear, "you are so lucky to have your parties at your house outdoors, my kids have birthday's in the winter and I don't have enough room in my house for everyone". Well, think about a movie party, you don't have to have any games, the kids are all in one area, not running around...I think it's a great idea! Go one step further and decorate it like a slumber party and have everyone bring their sleeping bags!

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas

Pinned Image

I love this idea for a grandparent using all the grandchildren's hands, then simply using a fine point sharpie, label each kids name on the palm of the hand.   It's so hard to buy for grandparents, they have everything, so this is something they can keep and unique to the family only.
This awesome idea came from The Other White House blog.....go check it out:

Here is another idea that I love and is very sweet....this could also be used a gift idea for a grandparent or even a nanny....I wish I could give credit to whoever came up with this idea, I saw it on Pinterest, but no credit was given by the orginal creator, so THANK YOU to whoever did this, such a cute idea!
