The Very Hungry Caterpillar Party

This is one of my all time favorite books! I remember my 1st grade teacher reading it to us and I thought the butterfly on the last page was simply beautiful. Now it's one of my girls favorite books as well.  Naturally you can understand my excitement when I started coming across all these wonderful post's on The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.  The first post is from Multiply Delicious, where she posted her thoughts and comments on a party that was featured on Hostess with the Mostess (one of my favorite all time sites).  Check it out here!

This next party was featured on Mini Mocha and there are some awesome ideas here,

She has some great art's and crafts idea's that I just love, and one of my favorite things is to have the kids make something according to the theme of the party to take home as the party favor rather than a bunch of trash and trinkets that us mothers just cringe at. Plus, the party host does not waste money on party favor's that are just going to be thrown away once the child gets home anyway.
don't you just LOVE the headband?
The pillows were done by using computer iron on transfer paper, and then cut into each shape, stuffed and then sewn together!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this sandwich idea....
TOO CUTE!

This next party is from Shara over at the Bachmanville blog, she has such adorable idea's...she share's everything from the invite she created to art's and craft's ideas.  What I love about this post is that this party can be done on such a low budget with a big bang!

 Check out these bookmarks...great idea!

And how about this cake idea? Loving it..

And how cute is this sign?

This idea is just totally fun, for both the kids and the parents at the party! antennaes with black headbands, black pipe cleaners, and little styrofoam balls spray-painted black
You really need to check out Shara blog here, she has so many great ideas!

  1. Thanks for your generous compliments. The kiddies loved this party, the little gifts and the puppet show, they wanted to keep doing the puppet show all afternoon! There are so many great ideas out there for so many themes. I love the blog world for helping to share and develop creative ideas. Thank you.
